Accommodations

We strongly encourage you to overnight on campus, which will be the center of activity. Trinity is a beautiful, modern campus, with no communal bathrooms you sometimes see in dorms. Instead, two rooms share a bathroom as one suite. We can match you with a suite mate, or you can indicate your preference on the registration form. There are no completely private rooms available. Rooms will include linens, basic toiletries, and a towel service. The overnight pass also provides access to other campus amenities like the swimming pools. Sorry, extra nights are not available.

The facility passes also include meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served at Mabee Hall (map) with a wide variety of options to fit any taste or diet. The welcome reception and sayonara banquet will also be held on campus at exact locations to be announced on the final schedule. There will be plenty of time after dinner to check out the night life on the River Walk.

Please respect the campus policies. Smoking is not allowed in rooms, although smoking is allowed outdoors and on balconies. Alcohol is permitted inside the rooms for those over 21.

The final event schedule will detail the time and place of check in and check out. If you stay on campus, it is very important to checkout and return your access keys and cards to avoid a penalty. If you need to schedule a special check in or check out time, contact Rose.

Trinity University maintains a list of nearby alternative accommodations. The hotel tax in San Antonio is approximately 16%, and downtown hotels are likely to charge approximately $15/day for parking. Those staying off campus will need a day pass to pay for facility rental.

Transportation

Registrants are responsible for their own transportation. The gym spaces, meals, and accommodations are within easy walking distance on the Trinity University campus.

The nearest airport is the San Antonio International Airport (code SAT). Typical cab fair to Trinity University is about $20. Although we cannot guarantee free airport pickup, we will do our best if you indicate the date and time of your arrival on your registration form. You will not need a rental car unless you're staying off campus or would like to visit the Texas Hill Country, Austin, or other outlying areas.

For those who drive to San Antonio, there will be free on-campus parking with a pass available when you check in. We encourage our friends from the Dallas area to try the new toll road around Austin; it has saved us an hour's driving time depending on the time of day you hit Austin.

The River City (San Antonio, Texas)

San Antonio is world famous for its River Walk. The city recently finished the River Walk's Museum Reach expansion, which is within walking distance of Trinity University. The traditional Downtown Reach is a healthy hike from Trinity. The Mission Reach is currently under renovation, as the Army Corps of Engineers transforms an old flood control project into a linear parkway. Besides the River Walk, there's much more to see and do. Here's a sampling of our favorite websites:
